Developed through long-standing relationships with family-run tanneries and workshops across Italy, visvim®’s leather jackets are the perfect example of visvim®'s commitment to traditional craftsmanship. Each piece begins with carefully selected hides, often chosen for their unique character rather than uniformity, then shaped by artisans whose techniques have been passed down through generations. Vegetable tanning methods and small-batch production allow for subtle variations in texture and tone, giving every jacket a distinct identity. ⁠

From there, visvim® pushes beyond convention, experimenting with washes, pigments, and treatments to achieve a lived-in feel. Many of these garments are then brought to Japan for finishing, where specialized processing techniques add further depth and character.
