U.S. Shipping Policy Update

As of August 29, 2025, the U.S. Government has removed the de minimis exemption for imports. This means:

  • All U.S. orders, regardless of value, will now be subject to duties, taxes, and customs clearance.
  • Duties and taxes are not collected or paid by LESS 17. They are the customer’s responsibility upon delivery. LESS 17 cannot refund any costs paid to duties and taxes as we do not collect those fees.
  • Shipping times are not guaranteed at this time, as customs delays are expected.

Customs & Documentation

  • LESS 17 will provide all necessary paperwork, including HS codes and country of origin, with every shipment.
  • Shipments under $2,500 USD may be subject to duties up to 50% if not qualified under CUSMA, but should not require formal entry. Duties, taxes, and tariffs vary based on the item type and country of manufacture.
  • Shipments $2,500 USD and above will follow the standard formal entry process and may require an importer tax ID (EIN or SSN).
  • For the most accurate information on duties and taxes, please contact your local U.S. importing office.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as these changes take effect. Our team is committed to keeping your orders moving as smoothly as possible, and we’ll continue to keep you updated.

Thank you for your continued support,
